Frogmore Cottage, once the royal residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now stands empty. Since their move to California in 2020, the cottage, a gift from Queen Elizabeth, has not been occupied. In 2023, the couple was officially asked to vacate the property, as confirmed by their spokesperson: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”
The Grade II-listed home in Windsor Home Park remains unoccupied, and recent palace updates confirm there are no new residents. “During the year, Frogmore Cottage has remained empty,” said a palace spokesperson.
Though briefly used by Princess Eugenie and her husband, Frogmore Cottage has been otherwise vacant. Harry and Meghan, now settled in Montecito, California, have expressed their satisfaction with their new home, with Meghan noting the special connection they feel with their Montecito property. Despite leaving Frogmore Cottage behind, the couple has embraced their Californian life.
